This painting was inspired by Rob Hefferan and some of his analogous color schemes and a girl that I saw in a tree at a fairy festival several years ago.
So this was my attempt and playing around with that type of color scheme. There were lots of other things I tried to improve on as always, and in some ways I think I succeeded but in other ways I'm not so sure.
The painting went through many different iterations as I struggled to bring together the various components.
Nothing too heavy behind this image, I just wanted to bring together some of my favorite elements to paint, cloth, nature, and women. I also wanted to try and create a light/warm mood.
In any event after hundreds of hours of working on this image I just cant look at it anymore and so I'm calling it quits. I hope the image brings you enjoyment on some level.
Dedicated to my companion Grayson who I lost earlier this year, a beautiful velcro kitty that always provided me with unconditional love. May he slumber in a warm tranquility until I meet him again.
